In addition, if you don’t see what you need, custom heavy duty roller chains can be manufactured upon request.
Heavy duty roller chains are manufactured to ANSI B29.1 standards, but have thicker side plates. The thicker side plates not only significantly increase the strength and fatigue resistance of the roller chain, but also reduce the stretch and wear that occurs over time. Heavy-duty series roller chains are best suited for agricultural applications, skid steer loaders, heavy equipment, and any application where you want to increase the strength of your chain without increasing its size. Heavy Duty Roller Chain Specifications
Heavy duty chains are designed for tougher applications, including high-load environments and impact-filled conditions. These chains are suited to industrial and agricultural applications, such as construction equipment, oil rigs, and heavy-duty lumbar equipment.
Some of the components of a roller chain include a sprocket, an idler sprocket, a ring sprocket, and a bushing. Each part is attached to the other through bushings and sleeves. Bushings are used to ensure a smooth bearing surface.
Proper lubrication and assembly are also vital to the life of the chain. Using an improper lubricant can lead to premature wear.

Sprockets for Heavy Duty Roller Chain
In addition to heavy duty roller chains, we can also supply sprockets. For heavy-duty roller chains with sprockets with less than 30 teeth, it is recommended that the sprocket teeth be hardened. All our sprockets with up to 30 teeth are supplied with hardened teeth as standard.
Sprockets are available in a wide range of materials, from steel to stainless steel. Typically, they are fabricated from high-quality steel alloys. If you need special sprockets, you may want to consider custom manufacturing.
